Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 30, 2026
LockIn is a Chrome extension that helps you stay focused by starting timed focus sessions and limiting distracting websites. This privacy policy explains what data LockIn uses and how it is handled.
What we collect
LockIn stores focus session settings, timer state, blocked site preferences, and basic extension settings only to make the extension work. This data is stored locally in your browser using Chrome extension storage, unless a future cloud sync feature is added.
What we do not do
- LockIn does not sell user data.
- LockIn does not use user data for ads.
- LockIn does not use analytics.
- LockIn does not read page contents, passwords, messages, or personal files.
Tab access
LockIn may access tab URLs only to detect distracting websites during an active focus session. LockIn does not read page contents, passwords, messages, or personal files.
Focus sounds
If LockIn plays audio or focus sounds, they are used only for focus and timer features (for example, session start/end alerts or ambient focus sounds). LockIn does not use audio for advertising or tracking.
Data storage
Your settings and session data remain on your device in Chrome extension storage. LockIn does not transmit this data to external servers unless you explicitly enable a future cloud sync feature, if one is offered.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
